Club Spotlight - Quiz Bowl
Quiz Bowl is an international competition where teams compete to answer questions about a wide variety of subjects. If you are interested in learning more or possibly joining, email either club captains Jack Zipper, Gouri Krishnan, and Elijah Lowe, or our club advisor Mr. Boaz.
At the beginning of last year, a new club quietly arrived at King. One year later, the Quiz Bowl team had proudly marched to two top 5 tournament finishes and a national finals appearance. After a summer of relative inactivity, the Quiz Bowl team is ready to reach new heights.
Some of you may be wondering, what is Quiz Bowl? Quiz Bowl is an international competition where teams compete to answer questions about a wide variety of subjects. Some of the most prominent subjects include but are not limited to history, math, science, and literature. Quiz Bowl not only increases your knowledge, but also strengthens one's recall, reflexes, and memory. Parallels can be drawn to Jeopardy in which both use buzzers, and both answer challenging and interesting questions. All in all, Quiz Bowl is an exciting game with a little friendly competition and a lot of fun.
